Pinch Pot Monsters
We learned three techniques, adding, subtracting and pinching while we were making our clay monster. Adding and subtracting is when you add or take away clay and pinching is where you pinch the clay into a shape. After we finished shaping our monsters we let them dry, then we sent them off to the kiln. to cure. The monsters were left in the kiln for a couple of days. Later we took them out and painted them with tempera paint. We were not given that much time to complete this project because it was a gateway project to learn clay skills to do a government project later. (Written by 3 Rm 18 students)
