A couple of students daily are responsible for writing down the daily agenda message, as well as noting a few key events/ discussion points from that day on our class website.
Students are still encouraged to continue with their personal agenda as an organization tool for their school responsibilities. |

Summer Debate Camp info: Debate Camp: * Calgary, Webber Academy will be offering Calgary's own Debate Camp this summer. It will run daily from July 2 to the 4th, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at Webber Academy. This is a day camp and is open to students entering grades 7 to 10 in September. They would like to see more beginner debaters wishing to grow some of their skills before the new season is upon us. TIME MANAGEMENT IS KEY! Students have a lot going on right now with G6TS, a social research project, IPP Goals and projects, weekly math homework and Charter work that was assigned before Spring Break.
We have talked about organization of materials, time management and personal responsibility in class. We have been encouraging students to become more independent in all these areas in preparation for Jr. High. Please talk with your child about their plans and goals around these various projects and how they are managing. - Stress Conversation: Many students expressed being stressed based on the busyness of the school schedule and tasks that are currently being worked on. As a class we wrote a task list and allotted each task an agreed upon time that they would be able to complete it during school time. We also talked about busy vs stressed, goal setting using our weekly planner in our IPP journal and using time wisely to not compound homework, fall behind in your work and increase stress.
